Design Engineer – Midwest USA
Minimum Educational Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Job Related Experience: Minimum 2-5 years design experience. 3D modeling and 2D drawing experience. Prefer experience in electrical/electronic components, connectors, contacts, switches, sensors, cable assemblies or small plastic parts. Use of any of the following: CoCreate, One Space Designer (Solid Designer), Pro/E, SolidWorks.
Basic Function: Responsible for the design and development of new electronic products.
Principle Duties: Design and develop new electronic products. Develop work instructions and new manufacturing processes using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Debug and improve established manufacturing engineering, quality, manufacturing, and marketing. Interface with mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, manufacturing and marketing. Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observes results and makes corrections. Expertise in the use of analytical tools, PC and workstation software. Perform other related duties as assigned. Understand, support, and contribute to TQM and Quality/Environmental Management Systems by following approved policies and procedures.
