Resigning
Making a decision to resign from a current position can be both stressful and difficult. When you handle the resignation properly, you will feel better about your decision.
Resigning
Once you make the decision to leave your current company, be brief and firm in your resignation. Suggested wording for a resignation letter is:
”I hereby tender my resignation from ____. The reason for this action is that I have accepted another position with a company that will offer me greater opportunity for advancement potential now and in the future.
I appreciate the experience that I have gained working for ________ which has qualified me for this next exciting step in my career.
I have given this careful consideration for some time and must inform you that my decision is final and irrevocable. Therefore any counter-offers will not be considered under any circumstances. As I am trying to make this transition comfortable for both of us, I request that you honor my desires in this matter.”
